Terms of Use and District License
Effective November 2026
These terms cover facultyfirewall.com and the Faculty Firewall Kit. “We,” “us” and “Faculty Firewall” mean Faculty Firewall. “You” means the person or organization buying or using the kit.
1. Purchases
The kit is sold through Lemon Squeezy, which acts as our reseller and merchant of record. Lemon Squeezy’s buyer terms also apply to checkout, payment and sales tax. Invoiced orders are billed by us directly.
2. Your district license
When you buy the kit, you get a non-exclusive, non-transferable license for one organization (one school district, or one school or organization if you are not part of a district) to:
- Use, copy, edit, translate and print the materials for your own staff
- Share them with your employees, board members and contractors working for your organization
- Use them in every school and building in your organization
- Add your own name, logo and branding to staff-facing copies
Content you add yourself stays yours.
3. What the license doesn’t allow
You may not:
- Resell, sublicense or give the kit to another organization
- Publish the kit files publicly or place them anywhere people outside your organization can access them
- Use the kit to deliver paid training or consulting to other organizations
Regional agencies serving several districts need a multi-district license. Contact us.
4. Responsible use of simulation materials
Phishing simulations are a training tool, and you are responsible for running them responsibly. You agree to:
- Get authorization from your organization’s leadership before running any simulation
- Send simulations only to people in your own organization
- Never use the materials to impersonate a real outside company or government agency, to collect passwords, financial information or other personal data, or to target anyone outside your organization
- Follow applicable laws, your employment policies and any collective bargaining agreements
Using the materials in violation of this section ends your license immediately.
5. Ownership
We keep all rights in the kit, including copyright. “Faculty Firewall” and its logo belong to us. Your license lets you use the materials as described above; it does not transfer ownership.
6. Updates
Corrections to the version you purchased are free. New editions or additional products may be sold separately.
7. Not professional advice; no guarantees
The kit contains training and communication materials. It is not legal, insurance, compliance or technical security advice. We do not guarantee that using the kit will prevent security incidents, satisfy any law, regulation, framework or insurance requirement, or produce any particular result. You are responsible for the decisions and system settings in your own environment.
8. Disclaimer
To the extent the law allows, the kit and this website are provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim related to the kit or this website is limited to the amount you paid for the kit. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages.
10. Website use
Content on facultyfirewall.com is for information. Free resources, such as checklists, may be used inside your organization but may not be republished or sold.
11. Ending the license
Your license ends if you breach these terms or receive a refund. When it ends, delete your copies and stop using the materials.
12. Public agencies
If your district’s procurement rules require different contract terms, email [email protected] before you buy and we’ll work with your business office.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Hampshire, USA.
14. Changes
We may update these terms. The version in effect when you bought the kit governs that purchase.
